LEVEL 01 — STRATEGY AND ADVICE

Before we build anything, we settle what this is about.

A workshop-based assessment, a vendor-neutral evaluation of systems, a clear architecture. What you get at the end is not an eighty-page report but a prioritised list of actions.

WHEN STRATEGY

When you can tell something does not fit — but not what.

The tools are there, the friction remains.

You have bought software over the past few years, but the problems in day-to-day work have not got any smaller. What is missing is the concept that ties it together.

Earlier consulting projects petered out.

You have tried conventional consultants. Plenty of slides, plenty of recommendations — little effect on daily work.

You want to decide without committing.

Before choosing a new system, you want an honest, vendor-neutral evaluation. Without sales pressure.

You are looking for a sparring partner, not a supplier.

You want someone you can discuss strategy, tooling and compliance with openly — without a project proposal being expected at the end.

IN DETAIL

Five building blocks we offer at this level.

01 — STARTING POINT

Digitalisation workshop

One or two days of concentrated assessment. We map your processes, talk to the key people, identify bottlenecks and put the areas for action in order. What you get at the end is a concrete list of actions with an effort-benefit estimate — not a slide deck.

Typical duration: 1–2 days of workshop, 1 week of write-up.
Result: a prioritised list of actions and an architecture sketch.

02 — CHOOSING TOOLS

Software and systems advice

Vendor-neutral evaluation of ERP, CRM, collaboration and communication platforms. Typical cases: ERP comparisons, Microsoft 365 versus Google Workspace, cloud telephony providers, e-invoicing strategies.

We recommend what suits your business — not what we sell.

03 — TECHNICAL DEPTH

Architecture and technical design

Data flows, module boundaries, interfaces, migration paths. We bring the structural order that makes a solution hold up over time — including when someone else does the building later.

04 — MANAGEMENT LEVEL

Strategy sparring

Make-or-buy decisions, return-on-investment assessments, tenant consolidations, IT questions around mergers and acquisitions. Thinking about digitalisation apart from the business model does not work — so we think about it together with you.

05 — LEGAL FRAMEWORK

Compliance advice

DATEV integration, archiving that satisfies German GoBD rules, mandatory e-invoicing (XRechnung, ZUGFeRD), architecture decisions with GDPR implications. Compliance is part of everyday advisory work — not an afterthought.

HOW A WORKSHOP RUNS

How a digitalisation workshop works with us.

01

Preparation

A questionnaire up front, a review of existing documents, scheduling of the key conversations. You know beforehand what we are after — we know beforehand what you have.

02

On site

One or two days of concentrated work at your premises. Conversations with management and the people responsible for operations, observation of processes as they run, a shared whiteboard.

03

Write-up

We condense what we heard into an architecture sketch, a bottleneck analysis and a list of measures with an effort-benefit estimate. Documented reproducibly, not embellished.

04

Handover

Presentation of the findings with management. Open questions settled, priorities discussed, a decision on the next steps. With or without us.

COMMON QUESTIONS

What clients often want to know beforehand.

Do we have to do the implementation with you?

No. We deliver the workshop and the list of actions even if you implement internally or with another partner. A recommendation is a recommendation; a commitment is a commitment. We keep the two apart deliberately.

How long does it take from workshop to list of actions?

Three weeks as a rule. One week of preparation, one or two days of workshop on site, one week of write-up. With very complex structures it can take longer — and we say so beforehand.

Can you look at individual topics only?

Yes. If you have a specific question — say “Which ERP suits us?” or “How do we finish e-invoicing?” — we can work on exactly that without a full workshop.

What does a workshop cost?

An initial workshop sits in the low five figures, depending on depth and travel. We give you the range in the preliminary conversation — before we start.

Do we get a slide presentation at the end?

We deliver what suits the task. That may be a structured document, an architecture sketch, an interactive HTML dashboard, or a mix. Slides are rarely the right format.

You know what the workshop is. Shall we talk?

Every workshop starts with a thirty-minute first conversation. You describe your situation, we say honestly whether a workshop fits — and in what scope.
